My friend and I ended up at Birravino before a concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center. It was only about 15 minutes from the venue and had its own parking lot, so it was an ideal choice. It was too hot to sit outside, but we saw their enclosed tent retreat with its beautiful chandeliers and live music. Instead, we were in their main dining room, which was surprisingly spacious, given that it was full of tables; they really optimized the room for maximum seating, while still keeping it comfortable. Both the bar and dining areas were packed with diners enjoying pizzas, pastas, and main courses. In fact, it was tough to decide what we should order. My friend and I debated getting two appetizers each, but that would have been much more costly than a singular entrée per person, so we kept it simple and went that route. After we placed our order, we received a plate of fresh semolina bread, as well as slices of the same loaf, which had been toasted with salty cheese. We munched on the bread while sipping our matching Aqua Jalapeno cocktails, which were wine glasses full of Casamigas jalapeño tequila, San Pellegrino, watermelon, and lime juice. Unfortunately, I found the drink disappointing. It was not properly stirred, so each sip was different - some too tart, some too strong, etc. Plus, while the watermelon seemed like it was real fruit, the cocktail had an artificial taste. Despite that, we loved our meals! My friend found her lemon chicken and spinach risotto comforting and delicious, though she would have preferred less capers were included. I similarly enjoyed my pan-seared, Nova Scotia salmon filet, which was perfectly cooked and salted maybe just a touch more than it needed to be, but I would prefer that over it having no taste at all. The large piece of fish was served over a seasonal blend of warm zucchini, charred pearl onions, and a cold tomato and corn salad. The ideal amount of spring onion crema had been drizzled across the plate, allowing me to incorporate as much or as little of it into my dish as I wanted. We both found Birravino to serve tasty food in a fun, lively atmosphere that made it the perfect pick-me-up before a lengthy concert.

Came here for our first time, dinner before a show at the Count Basie Theater and had a great experience. We were early for our reservation and no worries, we were seated at a beautiful corner high top table that overlooked the restaurant. What a wonderful atmosphere, felt like we were in a rustic Italian barn with hanging lights all around.. Our waitress, Olivia, greeted us promptly and was friendly and attentive throughout. After ordering a couple of drinks and enjoying some great semolina bread and crisps, we bypassed an app and went right to our main courses. My wife made an excellent choice, the Melanzane Alla Parmigiana, eggplant, mozzarella, pecorino Romano, tomato, rigatoni in a spicy vodka sauce, so delicious, the rigatoni perfectly al dente and the eggplant on point. Now for my main, I usually don't order a chicken dish when I go out, but the Scarpariello, with bone-in chicken breast, sausage, rapini, potato, hot peppers and capers sounded to good to pass up. Boy was I glad I didn't, this was definitely the best version of scarpariello I've ever had. So flavorful, the chicken on the bone was tender and moist, sausage was delicious and had just the right amount of heat. I'd get this dish 100 out of 100 times. We enjoyed our meals so much, we had to finish everything thing off with a nice Tiramisu for dessert. Lady fingers, espresso, marscarpone cream and cocoa powder, it was wonderful. This was Just a terrific overall experience here. We were even greeted by the owner/manager on the way out just to see how we enjoyed everything and to tell us about some of the live entertainment that they have there. My only gripe would be the prices are a bit high, especially the drinks, but I will definitely be coming here again.

So glad that I decided to try out this Italian spot in Red Bank. The ambience inside is such a vibe and this spot would be awesome for a girls night, date night, celebrations, semi-casual lunch, family dinner, etc. The cocktails we started with were strong & delicious. Enjoyed the Birravino spritz - very refreshing. The food here was absolutely killer! Food wise, was genuinely one of the best meals I've had in a while -- the eggplant parmigiana was absolutely phenomenal. The eggplant was perfectly crispy and flavored so well, and Birravino's eggplant parm dish is served with their signature spicy rigatoni vodka pasta. I could not get enough of it -- was so glad that I ordered it. As a vegetarian, finding the best eggplant parm around in NJ has been a personal goal of mine. Our server was very professional & helpful: he was the one who convinced me that I would enjoy the eggplant parm. Birravino's eggplant parm might be at the top of the list now! A must try. Before the eggplant parm stole the show, we received complimentary house made bread / crostini with olive oil and we ordered the Tri Colore salad - good but very endive/radicchio heavy. I'd probably opt to try another salad option when I return, but it was still a refreshing choice. The burrata pizza was delicious and had a nice, crispy crust to it. Ended off the meal with an espresso and tiramisu and we left satisfied as ever!! Can't wait to return, and cannot believe I didn't make the trip earlier! Bravo, Birravino!

A great casual Italian slightly off the main strip and downtown Red Bank. Can be a little bit cramped so be mindful if you're going for a business meeting that you're trying to be discreet - tables can be fairly close. Great spot to go with the family and friends.

We ate at the new outdoor addition, ambiance was very good and cozy, service was a bit slow as we were about 10 minutes seated before someone attended us. We went there for the tapas and they were great, wine and cocktails were good too. Definitely a place to return

Went here on a Thursday night. They were super busy. We were seated at a high top. We shared the dishes and got burrata pizza which was to die for, spicy rigatoni which was good but I didn't taste any spice, and chicken parmesan which was good. For dessert I ended with cannolis which was AMAZING!!! This place is super cool and moody. Great spot!

I returned here for another meal. This time, I just went with a burrata salad with grilled chicken. It came with broccoli rabe pesto, pickled red onion, sweet tomatoes, and crispy pancetta along with the added grilled chicken. This was well presented, and all ingredients appeared fresh. The burrata was creamy while the chicken was seasoned and grilled ideally. I would have preferred a little more greens present. The broccoli rabe pesto was different, but tasty. I also tried the "mor" pizza. It came with meatball, onion, ricotta, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. This was not too bad. There could have been more meatball pieces present as it was hardly tasted. The crust also could have been cooked a tad longer. The tomato sauce was the key here.
